MaxPreps named Sahuro standout Alyssa Brown top Female Athlete in Arizona Friday morning.

Brown is the 2020 Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year and the MaxPreps Player of the Year for basketball.

Brown, a 6-foot-1 forward, helped lead Sahuaro to the 4A state championship game and a 28-2 record while averaging 31.4 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.9 steals a game. Only a junior, Brown also set an Arizona single-season scoring record of 932 points and is currently 25th All-Time in Arizona with 2,094 career points.
