Highland High won the boys and girls titles Saturday at the Mountain View Invitational run at Mountain View Park in Scottsdale.

Highland had the individual winner in both races as well. Cory Breinholt won for the boys with a time of 15 minutes, 26 seconds, besting teammate Logan Woolf by 18 seconds. Tori Haberman was first for the girls in a time of 18:14. That was 27 seconds ahead of Chaparral's Jasmine Zelechowski.

Behind Highland in the boys standings was runner-up Desert Vista and third-place Chaparral among 13 teams. Highland was followed in the girls competition by Chaparral and Gilbert among 10 teams.

In the annual Los Mezquites Invitational at  Kennedy Park In Tucson, Rincon University's boys and Nogales' girls were the team champions. Rincon's Ryan Silva won the boys race and Zahira Jimenez of Nogales won for the girls for the second year in a row.
