CAMERON PARK, Calif, --- MaxPreps.com and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) are teaming up in an effort to promote high school girls softball and highlight accomplishments of the nearly 380,000 student-athletes participating in the sport annually throughout the entire nation.

MaxPreps will serve as the official statistics and results provider for the NFCA's High School Player of the Week program. Each week during the spring season, the NFCA will choose an athlete in each of the regions who had a great week in play to receive the award.

Coaches must submit player statistics to Maxpreps.com in order to make their athlete eligible to win the award.
MaxPreps.com publishes schedules, scores and standings for each of the nearly 16,000 schools participating in girls softball across the country. MaxPreps.com also provides high school coaches with team pages, statistical software and a variety of other services, all free of charge.

Based in Starkville, Mississippi, the NFCA will use results and statistics provided by MaxPreps.com to assist in its Player of the Week program in 5 regions across the country and aid in the site's efforts to become America's resource for softball information.

Winners will receive a MaxPreps/NFCA branded letterman's patch and recognition on MaxPreps.com.

To nominate a player for the award, the coach must enter his or her athlete's game stats into MaxPreps.com by Sunday evening to be eligible for that week's award. The NFCA High School Player of the Week will be announced by the Association on www.nfca.org every Monday during the spring season.
