Packed lineup for season finale of AZ Sports Prep 365 show

Adios, Jefe.

Saturday marks the final day of Pablo Rios’ run as the producer of the state’s No. 1 high school radio show, Arizona Sports Preps 365. Rios helped launch the show a couple of seasons ago.

620 KTAR-AM promoted Rios to a daytime shift recently, forcing Rios to give up his Arizona Sports Preps 365 spot. aia365.com reached out to Rios to get a couple of comments about getting Arizona Sports Preps 365 off the ground and his promotion, but he didn’t return our messages before our deadline.

Now that he’s gone from Jefe to Mr. Big Time, Rios apparently doesn’t have the time to chat with us little people at aia365.com.

That’s OK. We forgive him.

(Besides, he knows we are just joking with him.)

Rios’ stint with aia365.com isn’t entirely over, however. He’ll continue to run aia365.com’s Friday Night Wrap Up High School Football show on 860 AM.

We didn’t want Rios to take it easy on his final day with the Saturday show, so we packed the season finale with many guests and topics.

Here’s what you can expect when you tune in Saturday from 9-11 a.m. on 620 AM:

  • Nevada Bishop Gorman’s head coach Tony Sanchez will talk about playing Mountain Pointe in the Sollenberger Classic in August.
  • The hardest working high school reporter in the state, azcentral.com’s Richard Obert, joins the show to talk high school football recruiting and 2012-13 stories of the year.
  • Desert Mountain football coach Tony Tabor is expected to chat about his 2013-14 squad.
  • Jason Skoda of Maxpreps and Awhuatukee Foothills News is heading to Las Vegas to cover the Sollenberger Classis. We’ll get his thoughts on the trip and also probably talk wrestling with the state’s No. 1 wrestling reporter.
