Florence, Coolidge, Fountain Hills land 3A all-state players

Florence, Coolidge and Fountain Hills combined to produce five all-state players on the Arizona Football Coaches Association all-state teams.

Leading the way is Florence receiver-defensive back Kyle Washington, who was named to the first team on offense as a receiver, defense as defensive back and as a return specialist. Teammate Cade Clemons, a defensive end, is a first-team choice on defense.

Fountain Hills first-team players came on offense. Linemen Tyler Bode and center Nick Krause. Coolidge's first team representative is big-play running back Seth Ellis, a junior.

The 3A coach of the year went to Florence's George De La Torre, who guided the Gophers to the semifinals with an 11-2 record. Offensive player of the year honors went to Show Low quarterback Rathan Ricedorff and defensive player of the year went to Blue Ridge linebacker Alex Stebbins.
