aia365 to become AZPreps365

January 22, 2015 by Jose Garcia, AZPreps365

aia365.com is moving to a different address, a web address that is.

AZPreps365.com will launch on Friday, and the only thing that’s changing is our name. Everything else (schedules, rankings, stories etc.) and layout of our website that our readers expect to see daily is staying put, including the excellent work of our resident writers Les Wilsey and Andy Morales and our game-day online broadcasting/production crew.

Our Saturday morning radio show on 98.7 FM, which already is named AZPreps365, is a reason we changed our address. We also operate the Friday Night Wrap Up Radio Show during the high school football season.

For uniformity purposes, our website and the Friday Night Wrap Up Show also will carry the AZPreps365 name now.

“The name change is being done to reflect what the kids are doing in AIA athletics and activies and not to promote the AIA,” said Brian Bolitho, the AIA’s director of business media. “Changing the name better aligns the website with our Saturday morning radio show, Friday night wrap up show and future opportunities. It is our hope to expand our efforts into other areas promoting the success of our students and our teams as we move forward with the new AZPreps365.com”

aia365.com started in 2009 and quickly became a model to follow for other state high school state associations that wanted to keep their member schools and high school sports fans informed about their teams.

The Twitter handles also are changing for our staff and web site, but our followers don't have to follow our staff members again. We are just changing the names of our handles to reflect our new home, AZPreps365.com.

New handles:

Les Wilsey (@AZPreps365Les)

Andy Morales (@AzPreps365Andy)

Dustin Burr (@AZPreps365Burr)

AZPreps365 (@AZPreps365)
