With the top three teams in each section claiming an automatic bid to the state playoffs, Section III hasn't even decided a winner much less an order of ranking.

Oro Valley Ironwood Ridge can claim the section title on Monday if they beat Tucson Catalina Foothills. If Ironwood Ridge loses both games scheduled for this week then Tucson Salpointe will be the section champ.

Tucson High can move up to second place if Salpointe loses to Ironwood Ridge. At any rate, Only Ironwood Ridge and Tucson High have earned an automatic bid to the state playoffs.

Oro Valley Canyon del Oro has one shot. They need Salpointe to lose and then hope to beat Marana Mountain View themselves. This would give the Dorados the third slot.

That scenario is a high possibility. Currently, Salpointe is ranked 25th and Canyon del Oro is 26th. Both teams need an automatic slot.

Even though Marana has four losses in the section they are ranked 22nd. The Tigers have to hope they will not get bumped out of the playoffs.
