Peoria wrestling tourney turns 50

The Peoria wrestling tournament is turning 50 and still going strong.

This year, the Peoria Tournament of Champions is hosting 35 in and out of state teams. The tournament's first session kicks off at 9 a.m. Friday and concludes with Saturday’s finals, which start at 5 p.m. at Peoria High’s gym. 

The second session begins at 4 p.m. Friday, and the third session is scheduled for a 9 a.m. start on Saturday. The cost for Friday's all-day passes is $12 for adults and $8 for senior citizens, military and students.

For Saturday, the cost is $5 for students and $7 for adults.
