View highlights of this week's MaxPreps/WBCA Region 7 award winner from Idaho.

ATLANTA (February 22, 2016) –
The WBCA has announced its High School Players of the Week presented by MaxPreps for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 21.

In its inaugural year the WBCA High School Player of the Week is presented to a deserving student-athlete who demonstrated outstanding play throughout the week. Head coaches submit nominations each week and the WBCA selects the individual based on stats that were submitted.

Region 1
Hailey Conley, a junior from Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, Connecticut), has helped propel the Wildcats to an 18-3 overall record and an 11-game win streak. In three wins last week Conley averaged 22.0 points. She was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line in a 73-41 win against Griswold High School on Feb. 18.

Region 2
Kirsten Doleman, a 5-foot-7 senior from Jefferson High School in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia, guided the Cougars to three wins to improve to 15-5 overall. Doleman averaged 32.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.0 assists. She posted a season-best 35 points in two of the three games.

Region 3

Lexi Mercer, a 5-foot-9 senior from Rosewood High School in Goldsboro, North Carolina, earned her second MaxPreps/WBCA High School Player of the Week award for the season. The captain averaged 25.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.7 steals, 2.3 assists and 1.7 blocks in three wins for the Eagles. She earned a double-double in a 65-40 victory against Lakewood High School on Feb. 19, including going a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe.

Region 4
Emily Patton, a 5-foot-8 junior from Upper Scioto Valley High School in McGuffey, Ohio, led the Rams to two wins to improve to 18-6 on the season. During the two victories, Patton averaged 28.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.0 steals. She collected her fifth double-double of the season in a 69-42 win against Lima Central Catholic High School on Feb. 20, posting 32 points and grabbing 10 boards.

Region 5
Kourtney Shipley, a 5-foot-2 sophomore from Bradleyville High School (Bradleyville, Missouri), ended the week averaging 20.0 points, 3.7 assists, 3.7 steals and 3.3 rebounds, to help the Eagles move to 20-5 overall. Shipley was a perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line in the three games the Eagles played.

Region 6

Claire Golding, a 5-foot-1 senior from Tupelo Christian Prep in Belden, Mississippi, helped the Eagles to a 2-1 record for the week. Golding finished the week averaging 32.0 points, 5.0 steals, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists. Golding posted 40 points in a 63-50 win against Jumpertown High School, the third game this season she has posted at least 40 points.

Region 7

Destiny Slocum, a 5-foot-7 senior from Mountain View High School in Meridian, Idaho, has guided the Mavericks to 15 straight wins. In three games last week, Slocum averaged 28.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.7 steals. During the Mavericks' 62-54 win against Borah High School on Feb. 18, Slocum made all six free throw attempts.

Region 8
Stephanie Umeh, a 6-foot-1 senior from Notre Dame Academy in Los Angeles, California, helped the Regal Gryphons go 2-0 on the week. During the two wins Umeh averaged 27.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.0 assists. She earned her 15th double-double of the season in a 71-50 win against Westridge High School on Dec. 20, finishing with 28 points and 12 rebounds.

Region 9

Caitlyn Yost, a 5-foot-8 junior from Forrest High School in Chapel Hill, Tennessee, concluded the week averaging 25.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks. Yost posted her second double-double of the season with 40 points and 11 rebounds in a 65-57 win against Huntland High School.
