Arizona Christian added All-Southern Arizona infielder Shae Bushey to its 2017 recruiting class this past week. Bushey, an infielder from Cienega, batted .439 in her junior year with two home runs, four triples, 10 doubles and 21 RBIs.

Joining Bushey in the 2017 recruiting class are All-Southern Arizona infielder Jessica Bauer of Sabino, Corona del Sol standout Allyssia Sanchez, Elsy Guzman of Las Vegas and Jenna Martin of California.

“We are ecstatic for Shae! After all of the time and hard work she has put into playing club ball and high school ball at Cienega, she can continue to play a sport she fell in love with at 5 years old,” her parents Michelle and Scott said.

“We are fortunate that Shae has been able to play for great club ball and high school coaches, as well as family friends she has worked with over her softball career. We are blessed that she will be able to get a quality education at ACU and are thrilled she will be so close to home. We can't wait to see what her future holds! We are very proud of her and all of her accomplishments on and off the field.”
