HOOPS: Nick Rosquist closing in on 2,000 career points

December 21, 2016 by Andy Morales, AZPreps365

Listed below are the athletes who are still within reach of 1,000 career points from Southern Arizona. Some are sure to get there and some might not. Three girls from Pueblo are close to getting there in the same year while Nick Rosquist of the Gregory School closing in on the 2,000-point mark. It is believed only four boys from Southern Arizona have ever scored over 2,000 points in a career.

Seven girls from Southern Arizona have scored over 2,000 points in a career. Julie Brase’s 2,913 points at Catalina Foothills appears to be untouchable.

Pueblo standouts Alicia Reyes and Araceli Loya broke 1,000 career points this year as did Walden Grove’s Conner Verdugo, Duncan’s Christopher Corona, Sunnyside’s Mikey Silva and Andrew Reyna of St. Augustine.
