As you may have noticed, athletes from all over the state are either announcing their college offers or revealing their commitments and Catalina Foothills standout Bryan Beckon is no different.
Beckon finished with 1,154 yards receiving with 12 touchdowns to help lead the Falcons to the championship game of the 4A Conference. He also collected 40 tackles and three interceptions from his cornerback position. Beckon announced his commitment to play for Southern Utah University last week.
“The commitment to me personally means a lot because as a kid you always dream of opportunities to be able to do what you love at the highest level and this allows me to do so,” Beckon said.
“As for my family, Southern Utah is relatively close so it gives them a chance to come and really support me as they always have. Being on scholarship is also a humbling opportunity because it takes away from some financial burdens. All in all, I'm very blessed with this chance and can't wait to fulfill my dream!”
Wednesday, Feb. 1 is National Signing Day.
