Kerhoff finished with 13 kills, two aces, and 10 digs.

Valley Christian’s Courtney Dyer also had a good game, with seven kills, four assists, and 17 digs.

With a total of 37 assists and four blocks in tonight’s match, it is safe to say everyone on the Valley Christian Trojans team was focused and engaged.

Head Coach Lisa Gross of the Trojans said, “Our middles played really well which resulted in more blocks and more kills. We moved our sets around so we had all of our hitters hitting well and getting kills.”

The Trojans’ jerseys were hitting the floor often as they racked up 57 total digs.

Coach Gross said that she was proud of her defense as a collective unit, but extremely impressed with her libero Juliana Gay on the defensive side of the ball. She ended the match with 14 digs and two aces.

“Personally I wanted to focus on my defense and focus on getting everything up off of the floor,” Gay said.

Valley Christian Trojans improved to 10-3.

The Titans were the first team to score but could not seem to gain momentum against Valley Christian, who won Game 1 25-13.

After wining the first game, the Trojans came out hot in the second game jumping out to an early 4-0 lead, but the Titans not giving up and answered quickly with 4 points. From that point on both teams went on their own runs keeping the score close.

Chandler Prep’s starting freshmen Olivia Cadien had a noteworthy game for the Titans, finishing with multiple blocks, kills, and a handful of assists.

Head Coach Anthony Jones said,” I like how we played well against a good team… I liked that my young kids came to play. We started four freshmen so it was really cool that they played really well tonight.”

Coach Jones also had high praise for his Libero Taylor Mantle.

“She was all over the floor digging the ball and overall she was a leader on the court," Jones sai
