Globe standout Robert Burries scored 42 points Friday night against Florence, giving the junior 2,009 career points. Unlike the girls, the list of boys who have surpassed 2,000 career points in Arizona is incomplete with players and coaches claiming to reach that level without tangible proof.

The list of players who have passed 2,500 career points, however, appears to be more concrete. Burries is averaging over 26 points a game in his career which means he could pass former North standout Daniel Bejarano (2,642) to make it into the top five by the time he graduates next year.

Former St. Mary’s and University of Arizona standout Jerryd Bayless scored 2,888 career points and his spot at number four on the list appears to be out of reach. Former Shadow Mountain and Arizona standout Mike Bibby has the big school record of 3,002 career points and former Estrella Foothills player Corey Hawkins tops the list with 3,154 career points.
