Chandler High baseball continued on a league roll Tuesday as it captured its third Premier Region win in a row downing Hamilton, 10-1, in a 6A game at Hamilton.

Junior Nate Rohlicek didn't overpower Hamilton hitters, but was mighty effective. He allowed five hits, didn't walk a batter and fanned one in going the distance. He helped himself at the plate with a pair of hits helping along a 12-hit attack by the Wolves. Rohlicek is 5-2 for the year with a 1.86 earned-run average. In both losses Chandler was blanked by the opponent that day.

Chandler scored in every inning but the fourth against Hamilton. Cleanup hitter Luke Montenegro homered among his three hits and drove in three runs. His home run was an opposite field shot to right. Will Long, Luke Bass also had two two hits and Brandon O'Niell scored three times.

Chandler, under coach David Lopez, has quietly built one of the more consistent seasons of any 6A team. The Wolves are 19-5 overall and 10-3 in power-rankings games. Hamilton is 15-7, 9-4 prg. The Huskies lone run came in the fourth on a home run by Hayden Baker. No. 9 hitter Brock Selvidge had two of Hamilton's five hits.

Chandler entered play #6 in the 6A power rankings while Hamilton was sitting at #3. After losing to Basha last Tuesday in its region opener, Chandler has reeled off a win over Basha and sweep of Hamilton. The Wolves 3-1 mark is good for first in the region by percentage points as Basha lost to Perry, 15-5, to fall to 4-2. It's the first time going back to at least 2005 Chandler swept multiple regular-season meetings from Hamilton.
