With the 2017-2018 sports school year in the books after Tuesday's final championship games, 56 of the 265 AIA member schools won at least one state title.

Leading the way was Chaparral with five titles -- fall boys golf, boys swimming, girls swimming, girls basketball and girls soccer. Next are Xavier Prep with four (swimming, volleyball, soccer and golf), Northland Prep (girls cross country, boys cross country, fall girls soccer and girls track and Desert Vista (boys cross country, boys winter soccer, boys volleyball and boys track). Next is Sunnyslope with three (badminton, girls volleyball and boys basketball),Casteel (football, girls winter soccer and boys track), Chandler (girls cross country, football and girls track) and Salpointe Catholic (girls volleyball, girls winter soccer and softball).  Eleven schools won two titles -- Flagstaff, Page, Seton Catholic, Pinnacle, Valley Christian, Fountain Hills, Brophy Prep, Sabino, Campo Verde, Catalina Foothills and Pusch Ridge.
