Daniel Abiles, Josh Bristyan & Austin France earn ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Awards

The NJCAA Division II Baseball Committee recognized three former Arizona high school athletes on Wednesday by placing them on the coveted nine-member NJCAA DII Baseball ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove team.

Former Canyon del Oro standout Austin France (Chandler-Gilbert) recorded a .993 fielding percentage to take one of the three outfielder positions, former Perry standout Daniel Abiles (Glendale) had a .991 fielding percentage for the lone catcher award and former Horizon standout Josh Bristyan (Paradise Valley) put together a .976 fielding percentage to earn the short stop award.

France will be a sophomore while Abiles will move on to Colorado State University – Pueblo and Bristyan is set to play for Wagner College next year.
