We have 22 games involving teams from Southern Arizona on tap this Friday. While all games are important, there are a few games that standout:

4A Salpointe (0-0) travels to 6A Dobson (0-1): This will be a perfect opportunity for the media from the Phoenix area to get a glimpse of the top team from the Tucson area.

4A Pueblo (0-0) at 6A Tucson (1-0): Already dubbed the “Game of the Week” by the Southern Arizona media, it will be the first time back on the artificial turf for the Badgers after their field was destroyed during the monsoon season last year.

5A Buena (0-1) at 4A Sahuaro (1-0): The Cougars have made the move to 4A from 5A and are already 1-0 in region play. While region play has no bearing on the 5A and 6A playoffs, it still holds a lot of weight in the 4A ranks.

4A Cactus (0-0) at 4A Catalina Foothills (1-0): An early test of how the season will go for each team? Maybe.
