6A North (1-2) at 6A TUCSON (3-0)

The Badgers look to go 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the 6A Metro Region with a win over the Mustangs. Tucson is the only 6A team in Southern Arizona.

5A MARANA (3-0) at 5A Desert View (1-1)

Tiger QB Trenton Bourguet has 5.929 career passing yards which puts him fifth in the history of Southern Arizona. He is 479 yards away from the fourth spot.

5A Cienega (2-0) at 5A CENTENNIAL (2-0)

The Coyotes beat Bishop Gorman last week. It’s been a while since the Bobcats have been considered underdogs.

5A IRONWOOD RIDGE (1-1) at 5A Campo Verde (3-0)

The Nighthawks look to rebound from a 30-27 loss to Millennium last week.

5A Mountain View Marana (0-2) at 5A CASTEEL (2-1)

Things keep getting tougher for the Mountain Lions. Tucson and Cienega are next on the schedule.

5A Empire (0-2) at 5A BUENA (1-1)

The Colts look tough and the Ravens are trying to break through in the 5A Conference.

5A FLOWING WELLS (2-1) at 4A Amphitheater (1-2)

The Caballeros have a great shot at winning eight games this year but the program needs this one.

5A NOGALES (1-1) at 4A Rio Rico (1-2)

A packed house between these two border rivals.

5A RINCON/UHS (0-2) at 3A Tanque Verde (0-2)

A pair of teams looking for a win. It wasn’t too long ago when the Hawks played 8-man on Saturdays.

5A Del Valle, TX (1-1) at 4A SALPOINTE (2-0)

Another huge game for the Lancers. The team survived six fumbles last week but doubtful that will happen again. Del Valle is one of the best teams in Western Texas.

4A PUEBLO (0-2) at 5A Cholla (0-2)

A west-side game that the Warriors need to get back on track.

4A CASA GRANDE (3-0) at 4A Walden Grove (1-1)

The Cougars are on a roll. Win this and the team could be 6-0 when Salpointe comes to town on Oct. 5.

4A SAHUARO (2-1) at 4A Marcos de Niza (0-2)

The Cougars are not a surprise team. 4A is the perfect fit for the program.

4A CANYON DEL ORO (1-1) at 3A Pusch Ridge (1-1)

The two schools are literally neighbors. The practice lights are visible from each school. Should be an overflowing crowd.

4A CATALINA FOOTHILLS (1-2) at 3A Sabino (0-2)

The Sabercats need this game to avoid an 0-3 start. Still, the 3A South is wide open. The Falcons are just starting to gear up for region play.

3A Catalina (1-1) at 4A DOUGLAS (3-0)

The Bulldogs are looking to go 4-0 for the first time since 1981.

3A Coolidge (3-0) at 3A SAHUARITA (2-0)

A pair of unbeaten teams. Should be a good one.

2A WILLCOX (2-0) at 2A Morenci (2-1)

The Cowboys need to win this to prove they are back.

2A Antelope Union (3-0) at 2A TOMBSTONE (2-0)

Another huge small-school game.

2A BISBEE (1-1) at 2A Miami (1-1)

The loser of this game will have a difficult time getting back into playoff position.

2A Santa Rita (0-2) at 2A BENSON (1-1)

The Eagles are finding 2A a difficult road to travel.

1A Anthem Prep (0-2) at 1A ST. DAVID (3-0)

The Tigers are the best 8-man team in Southern Arizona and the big game is next week when Fort Thomas comes to town.

1A Valley Union (0-3) at 1A MOGOLLON (2-0)

The Blue Devils are having a difficult start and this game will make it tougher.

1A Baboquivari (1-2) at 1A HAYDEN (1-1)

It will be a long trip for the Warriors and possibly a long night.

1A BOWIE/SAN SIMON (0-2) at 1A Phoenix DSD (0-3)

The Cougars look to get their first win of the season.

5A Sunnyside (2-1), 4A Palo Verde (1-2) and 2A Santa Cruz (1-2) are on a bye week.
