The Rio Rico Rattler Cross Country meet will run on Saturday morning starting at 8:30 a.m. The course will be the same for the Southern Arizona sectional races for the Division II, Division III and Division IV races scheduled for Oct. 31.

The top 50% of the full teams from the sectional races will qualify for state and the top 25 runners will also qualify regardless of team finish. If the top 25 runners already belong to qualifying teams, then no other runners will qualify.

Some of the top talent expected to run in the Rio Rico Rattler are: Rio Rico senior Samantha Schadler (17:20); Rincon/UHS junior Grace Driskill (18:12) and Salpointe’s Zoey Delgado (19:11.5) on the girl’s side and Marana senior Kyle Partin (15:41.7), Cienega sophomore Ayden Schilb (15:43.8) and Rio Rico's Roshan Tinoco-Miranda (15:44.5) on the boy’s side.

The races start at 8:30 a.m. and will stagger between the various boys and girls races with the final race set for 11:15 a.m. The distance will be 5,000 meters.
