Sophomore Tyrell Young, senior Elias Stewart and senior Darius James combined for 61 points to pace the Winslow Bulldogs to an 85-49 freedom game victory this past Saturday in Don Petranovich Gymnasium in Winslow.

Young scorched the cords for 27 points for the Bulldogs. Stewart added 18 points and James poured in 16 points for Winslow.

Winslow took a 24-14 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs extended its lead to 51-25 at the end of the second quarter.

Winslow continued to shoot well in the third frame, taking a 69-34 lead at the end of the third period. The Bulldogs outpointed the Fighting Scouts, 16-15, in the fourth quarter.

"We took a lead early and grew each quarter," said Winslow head coach Scott Corum. "Dustin Richard returned to our lineup tonight (last Saturday), after sitting out the second half of the Tuba City game and all of our game last night (Friday night) against Chinle. He was big on the boards and he did a great job controlling the boards on both ends of the floor."

Corum continued, "Because of our big lead throughout the game, we were able to play our entire lineup and give some key players some much needed rest."
