Southern Arizona lost the Pusch Ridge Northwest Desert Classic Basketball Tournament this year but Ironwood Ridge High School filled some of the void with a new soccer tournament scheduled for Naranja Park in the Town of Oro Valley.

Starting with basketball, Sabino is hosting two full days of round-robin competition for boys’ basketball and Tombstone is hosting a tournament for boys as well while Flowing Wells is hosting the annual Girls Holiday Shoot Out.

The Oro Valley High School Soccer Invitational will feature boys and girls starting on Dec. 26 while the Walden Grove and Palo Verde soccer invitationals will start on Jan. 2. Walden Grove is hosting both boys and girls competition and Palo Verde will feature some of the top girls teams.

Finally, Benson High School is hosting the McGlumphy-Comaduran Wrestling Tournament starting on Jan. 4.
