Glenn Posey announced his return to the Sunnyside sidelines for the fourth time. Posey was an All-Star receiver for the Blue Devils in the 1980s before moving on to play for NAU and this will be his third time coaching - once as an assistant, and twice as the head coach.

“I’m super excited to get back to Sunnyside, a place I love,” Posey said. “Looking forward to working with the Blue Devils, I know we have a great group of kids that are excited about football. I want to thank all the people on the faculty and staff that supported me through this process!”

After playing for NAU, Posey served as the offensive coordinator for the Blue Devils for seven years before heading over to Flowing Wells to replace Pat Nugent. Posey led the Caballeros to an 8-3 record in 2001, the first playoff run for the program in four years.

Posey went 18-13 in three years at Flowing Wells and he took the head position at Sunnyside in 2011, replacing another legend in Richard Sanchez. He guided the Blue Devils to a playoff a spot in his first year at the helm and he capped his career at the school with a quarterfinal finish in 2014 and another playoff run in 2015 before moving over to assist at Pima Community College. Posey went 30-24 at Sunnyside.
