Former Cactus Shadows standout Carter Robinson named NJCAA & Rawlings Division II Pitcher of the Year

Mesa Community College sophomore Carter Robinson finished with a 9-3 record on 112 innings pitched with 126 strikeouts (10.13 strikeouts per game).

2019 NJCAA DII Baseball World Series runner-up

2019 NJCAA DII Baseball World Series Most Valuable Pitcher

Only NJCAA DII pitcher to eclipse 100 innings pitched this season

Pitched three complete game shutouts

 

"I want to thank my teammates, my coaches, and my family for all the support they’ve given me these last two years,” Robinson said in a release. “I couldn’t have gotten where I am today without their help. It’s a great honor to receive this award and I’m especially proud to have done it in a Mesa uniform."

 

Robinson is finishing up his college career at Louisiana at Lafayette.
