Bijan Robinson picked up two more state records in a 35-0 win over Canyon del Oro Friday night and the Salpointe senior has at least three more games in his career to pick up several more.

Robinson entered the game against the Dorados needing two touchdowns to pass former Saguaro and current Arizona Cardinals standout Christian Kirk on the Big School career TD list and he needed 15 points to pass Kirk on the Big School career points list and he got both.

Robinson carried the ball just 12 times but he ended the night with 263 yards rushing with four TDs. He also collected two passes for 49 yards. He has 636 career points and 106 TDs to go with the other records he holds. Kirk finished his career with 626 career points and 103 career TDs.

His 263 yards rushing puts him at 6,537 which puts him 659 yards ahead of everyone else from 4A-6A and his four rushing TDs puts him 13 ahead of the pack.

Salpointe (7-0) will visit Catalina Foothills (3-5) next Friday and there are two more milestones within his reach. Robinson is only 264 yards away from being the only player in the history of Arizona to rush for over 2,000 yards in three different seasons and he is 213 yards away from passing former River Valley standout Brandon Long for second place on the career rushing list regardless of classification.

Former Northwest Christian standout Casey Jahn still holds the most rushing yards in a career at 7,544 and he finished with 110 rushing TDs and 112 career TDs. Robinson is only six away from career TD mark but he is 14 away from the career rushing TDs and 1,007 yards away from the most rushing yards ever regardless of classification.

Former Patagonia standout Arley McNeil finished his career with 688 career points. Robinson needs nine TDs to pass that mark.

Robinson had TD runs of 80, 69, 3 and 1 against Canyon del Oro and sophomore QB Treyson Bourguet threw a 29-yard TD pass to senior WR Dae han Chang to close out the scoring for the Lancers. Bourguet finished with 67 yards passing and Sr. QB Jackson Bolin added 64. Lathan Ransom had a 53-yard catch.

The Dorados played the Lancers close at 14-0 at the half thanks in part to interceptions from Austin Brooks, Ethan Seppala and Dylan Zamorano. Seppala has five interceptions on the year.

The Dorados also took advantage of several penalties to extend drives and excellent clock management helped keep the Lancers off the field. Montana Neustadter threw for 34 yards and he rushed for 24 more to help lead the Dorados. Gavin Davis picked up 46 yards rushing.

Canyon del Oro (7-1) is set to host Vista Grande (0-8) next Friday. The lack of power points in that match will probably keep the team out of the Open Division and solidify the Dorados as one of the top seeds in the 4A state playoffs.
