The Canyon View football team won their final game of the season, beating Estrella Foothills by a score of 44-0.

“We could have done better...coach said there are little things we could use help on and the big things would resolve themselves,” linemen Ethan Rivadeneyra said.

Sophomore Anthony Munoz-Ramirez kicked off to start the game and within the first five minutes he ran the ball into the endzone to get the first touchdown of the game putting the Jaguars in the lead 7-0.

During the end of the second quarter wide receiver Walker Foster took the ball to the endzone for another touchdown making the score 34-0 at halftime.

Well into the third quarter a hand off goes to sophomore Matthew Flores for a Canyon View touchdown putting the score at 41-0. At the end of the game Munoz-Ramirez makes a 47-yard field goal ending the game with a final score of 44-0.

“Anthony got the chance to kick the 47-yard field goal, the longest field goal in school history,” assistant coach Aaron Upsher said.

The Jaguars will close out the season next week against Buckeye Union.
