Christopher Owen attends Canyon View High School and is a member of the AIA's Student SID program.

 

The Canyon View girls varsity basketball team started their season with the first varsity win in school history, beating Youngker by a score of 47-34. 

 

Sophomore Caidyn Spickler got the Jaguars ready early with a  three-pointer making the score 7-0. Sophomore Angelina Thiel followed this with a two-pointer making the score 9-0. 

 

Early in the second quarter, Thiel made another basket making the score 22-6. Sophomore Cheyenne Ben helped carry the team at the free throw line, putting the Jags ahead 33-14 by halftime. 

 

Thiel made a two-pointer putting the score at 41-22 in fourth quarter and the Spickler sisters, Caidyn and Avery, finished things off at the free throw line as Canyon View held on for a 13-point win.
