After almost eight years of playing volleyball, Avery’s volleyball days are almost over! How will she truly leave her mark on the court?

How is being a senior on the varsity volleyball team different from years prior?

Avery says, “It really changes your outlook on the sport and your attitude because it's potentially the last year I will ever play volleyball and it pushes me to make this year the best. Makes me really want to win the state championship and leave my legacy.”

How do you lead your younger teammates as a senior?

“I strive to encourage them any chance I get. Having more experience on the team allows me to know exactly how they are feeling. We have all been there, at one time or another, and everyone could always use some encouragement.”

Do you believe the volleyball team will make it to state this year and why?

“I do. I think this is the first year we really play as a team and not as an individual.” Avery says.

Currently, the varsity team is nine and three and first in their region! A great start to the season.

Although Avery’s sad to leave at the end of this year, she truly believes her last year of volleyball will be the absolute best!
