Brendan Quillman is a sophomore attending Gilbert Christian High School. He’s currently playing tennis for the first time on a team, but Brendan has enjoyed playing recreationally with friends for years.

After this year’s playing season he has already decided he wants to continue playing throughout the rest of high school, including practicing during off season. This decision was based on  the kindness and support he received from his fellow players. He says, “they always know how to make practice fun especially when we play doubles.'' He continues on to say how he loves when the team rallies together because it's always a time of enjoyment.

Even though he does not always get to play doubles, he does often play single matches. Singles are a fun challenge but they also take much more focus. This is because, “you don't have anyone to rely on to win so it's all you.” Overall, he just loves the challenge of the sport and looks forward to seeing how he can improve and do even better next season.
