Sharing Silver Sentiments

Decorating the auditorium with silver accents, the Digital Publication classes will be celebrating Red Mountain’s 25th anniversary and debuting the 2013 “Silver Lining” yearbook at the annual Yearbook Distribution Event. This event, scheduled for May 2 during both lunches, is open to students who have purchased their yearbook by April 15.

“We offer the Yearbook Distribution Event as an incentive for students who have pre-purchased a yearbook and will receive it a week before the rest of the student body,” said Digital Publications adviser Ms. Saquella. “We also do it to help the Bookstore reduce the number of books they have to distribute to the students.”

The Digital Publication classes have gone all out on the yearbook to honor the school’s 25th anniversary. They captured the “Silver Lining” theme by adding special features like a silver trim on all the pages with silver foil accents debossed on the front cover. The Digital Publication classes devoted countless hours of designing and editing to ensure every student will remember the unparalleled growth of the year.

“Due to the fact that Red Mountain is 25 years old, extra features were added to highlight the celebration,” said Ms. Saquella. “These added features cost me more money to produce this year’s annual, but this kind of anniversary only comes around once.”

With an entrance fee of $1, students will be able to view a slideshow highlighting photos that are in the annual as they get their yearbook before anybody else. Students can pay $5 an express line and receive first class concierge service. Students can purchase other items at the event as well.

“We distribute about 800 books at the event,” said senior and co-editor-in-chief of the yearbook, Samantha Stull. “We’ll also be selling extra items at the event like yearbook covers for $2, signing sheets for $2 and colored sharpies for $3.”

After pre-purchasing a yearbook, come and celebrate Red Mountain’s 25th anniversary at the annual Yearbook Distribution Event. Students can purchase remaining yearbooks (if available) for $79 beginning May 13 in the bookstore with cash or credit card (Visa or MasterCard). NO CHECKS will be accepted.
