Ironwood Ridge wrestling coach Tim Berrier was one of twenty-two high school coaches from across the country selected as 2015 National Coaches of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Coaches Association.

"The award is humbling and it's nice to be recognized," Berrier said. "I've been lucky to work with a lot of good kids and coaches. It might also mean I've been around a long time."

Ironwood Ridge will compete in the Flowing Wells Invitational this Friday and Saturday. Berrier coached the Nighthawks to three straight state championships from 2011 to 2013 and was state runner-up the two years prior. Ironwood Ridge took third last year.

The NFHS released the list of coaches on Monday, Jan. 11.
