Richard Obert of AZCentral.com reported Sunday that Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) guard Markus Howard is headed to Marquette.

In addition, the 5-foot-11 guard plans to fast-track his prep timetable and head to Milwaukee next fall.

Originally considered a 2017 prospect, Howard was immediately installed as a Top 40 prospect in the 2016 class by 247Sports.

A transfer from Gilbert, Ariz., Howard led Findlay Prep in scoring this season at 18.6 points per game to go along with 3.4 assists and 2.7 rebounds. The Pilots finished 28-2 and finished the season ranked in the Top 25 nationally by MaxPreps.

The new Golden Eagle is a two-time gold medalist with USA Basketball. Older brother Jordan averaged over 20 points per game in 2015-16 at Central Arkansas.

Howard joins a recruiting class that includes versatile forward Brendan Bailey of American Fork (Utah) and state champ Sam Hauser of Stevens Point (Wis.).
