Runs were in short supply at Maryvale Ball Park Friday night, but two runs worked well for Hamilton and Horizon.

Hamilton's Cole Bellinger ripped a two-run double in the top of the eighth inning as the 10th-seeded Huskies blanked Perry, 2-0, in a 6A winner's bracket game.

A great pitcher's duel between Hamilton's Seth Sas and Perry's Ty Pohlman was finally decided when Bellinger connected off reliever Ryan Blech for the game winner. Drew Swift, who singled to help in the winning eighth-inning rally for Hamilton, was the winning pitcher in relief of Sas. Sas allowed four hits in 6 2/3 innings and Pohlman gave up four hits in 7 1/3 innings.

Hamilton draws time off until May 12 awaiting the survivor of a Tuesday May 9 elimination game between Horizon and Perry at Diablo Stadium.

CORONA DEL SOL 10, PINNACLE 2: The fifth-seeded Aztecs posted nine runs in the fourth and fifth innings to topple the eighth-seeded Pioneers at Diablo Stadium.

Matt Novis drove in three runs -- all of them in middle of the crooked-number rallies. Gehrig Sanchez had two hits and a pair of RBI for Corona. Corona has time off until Friday May 12 waiting for the winner of Tuesday May 9 elimination game between Boulder Creek and Pinnacle.

Daniel Sotelo picked up the win for Corona with six-plus innings of work. He scattered eight hits and both runs were earned. CJ Schauwecker and Jacob Ferguson had two hits apiece and each had an RBI with Schauwecker's coming on a long home run to right.

HORIZON 2, MTN. RIDGE 0: Colin King and Evan Williams combined on a three-hit shutout as the No. 2 Huskies topped the No. 3 Mountain Lions in an elimination game at Maryvale Ball Park.

King worked the first six innings and Williams closed it out in the seventh. Matthew Liberatore Kody Huff and Danny Berger drove in runs with singles in the third and fifth innings, respectively.

Matthew Liberatore took the loss for Mountain Ridge. Liberatore allowed six hits, one walk and struck out nine.

BOULDER CREEK 6, BASHA 4: The 13th-seeded Jaguars scored in each of the last three innings to rally past and eliminate the top-seeded Bears at Diablo Stadium.

Boulder Creek's Coby Boulware had two hits, scored twice and knocked in a run. Winning pitcher Daniel Carrizosa, Zach Baptist, Toby Allred and Ryne Hedlund also had an RBI for Boulder Creek.

Gage Workman led Basha going 2 for 2 with two RBI. Trevor Dorn also had two hits, scored twice and drove in a run.
