Canyon del Oro standout Jonathan Walters enters the field as the top-ranked golfer in the state (-3.129) and Catalina Foothills junior Jake Goode is ranked third (-2.664).

As a team, the Canyon del Oro boys will enter the state championships ranked fourth and Salpointe is seventh. Arcadia is the top team going in.

Canyon del Oro, Walden Grove, Gila Ridge, Williams Field, Kellis, Thunderbird, Prescott and Arcadia are the eight automatic team qualifiers while Cactus Shadows, Notre Dame, Salpointe, Seton Catholic, Sunrise Mountain, Higley and Mesquite are the at-large teams.

By rule, the next 21 individuals not attached to a playoff team earned a berth to the state championships including players such as Goode.

Individuals from Southern Arizona include Goode, Max Robles and Garrett Falkenstine of Mountain View Marana, Alex Gray, Ray J Ramirez and Chaisen Alloway of Sabino and Jarrod Johnson, Kamden Kautz, Connor Wierman and Cory Buechler of Ironwood Ridge.
