As of now, Tucson area schools will have three pools available for a proposed swim qualifier during the last week of October. The Oro Valley Aquatic Center, the Sahuarita Aquatic Center and the Wade McLean Pool located adjacent to Marana High School are all figured into the qualifying equation.

The state championships are tentatively set for the Skyline Aquatic Center in Mesa and the Phoenix Country Day School Pool located in Paradise Valley on Nov. 6-7.

The proposals being discussed include:

Boys will swim in a morning session, girls will swim in an afternoon session

Events will be timed finals

Division 1 & 2 will swim top 30 individuals (1 alternate), top 24 relays (1 alternate team)

Division 3 will swim top 24 individuals (1 alternate), top 16 relays (1 alternate team)

will use the times from their qualifier to make their entry declarations in MaxPreps. Entries will be due by the afternoon of November 1.
