Spartans claim 6th title in 7 years after 2-1 win over previously unbeaten Show Low

MESA — Virginia Vaughan scored the go-ahead goal in the 78th minute and Northland Prep took down previously undefeated Show Low 2-1 in the fall girls state soccer championship Saturday afternoon.
Mollie Donahue put the Spartans on the board in the 16th minute, then Mikenzie Kulish tied it in the 68th minute for Show Low before Vaughan's heroics.
It is the sixth title in seven seasons for Northland Prep.
