The fall soccer state tournaments for boys and girls continue on Friday (Nov. 2) and Saturday (Nov. 3) at Campo Verde High in Gilbert.

In the first boys semifinal on Friday, third-seeded Chino Valley faces No. 2 Lakeside Blue Ridge at 5 p.m. Blue Ridge is the defending champion. Chino Valley advanced with an 11-0 victory over Round Valley, and Blue Ridge defeated Show Low 5-1.

In the second boys semifinal, No.1 Tucson Desert Christian meets No. 5 Payson at 7 p.m. Desert Christian advanced with a 2-1 victory over Willcox. Payson advanced with a 4-2 triumph over Tucson Alta Vista.

Friday’s winners will meet for the championship on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

The girls tournament has reached the championship stage.

Top-seeded Blue Ridge will meet No. 2 Desert Christian on Saturday at noon.

Blue Ridge advanced with a 2-0 victory over River Valley in the semifinals, and Desert Christian eliminated defending champion Show Low 1-0.
