Washington-bound guard Kelsey Plum scored 50 points Saturday night to lead La Jolla Country Day to an 87-50 victory over Dobson in the championship game of the La Jolla Country Day Sweet 16 Tournament at La Jolla Country Day.

Katherine Hamilton tallied 19 points to lead Dobson (3-2). Tori Lloyd added 13 points and Miyah Leith chipped in with 11. Hamilton and Leith were named to the all-tournament team. Dobson finished fourth at last year's tournament.

It's the second year in a row an Arizona school --a  Mesa school -- reached the final against La Jolla Country Day. Last year Mesa Mountain View fell in the final to LCD. Dobson had a three-game winning streak ended with the loss.

Injury-riddled Mtn. View (2-4) dropped its third game of the tournament earlier on Saturday, losing to Mater Dei (Chula Vista, Calif.) in the 11th-place game, 68-56.
