Preo basketball fans get a glimpse of 24 schools Thursday (June 27) through Saturday Jjune 29) at Highland High at the 7th annual Best in Basketball Summer Invitational.

They also get a chance to see new coaches at five East Valley schools put their teams through paces. Those coaches are Mark Nold (Chandler), Mike Grothaus (Basha), Todd Fazio (Red Mountain), Tom Saltzstein (Tempe) and Hosea Graham (Mountain Pointe). Play opens Thursday at 4 p.m. with two games every hour and continues through 10 p.m. Action resumes Friday starting at 9 a.m. and continues with the final games of the day at 8 p.m. Ditto for Saturday. Each team plays five games with six teams competing in each of four pools.

Here are the pools followed by daily schedule. All games at Highland High:

POOL A -- Desert Edge, Gilbert Christian, Hamilton, Highland, Marcos de Niza and Mountain Pointe. POOL B -- Chandler, Cienega, Corona del Sol, Pinnacle, Regis Jesuit, Tempe. POOL  C -- Boulder Creek, Cactus, Red Mountain, St. Mary's, Seton Catholic and Sunnyslope. POOL D -- Basha, Cesar Chavez, Desert Ridge, Horizon, Liberty and McClintock.

 Admission is $3 for adults on Thursday and $5 for adults on Friday and Saturday. Children 5 and under are admitted free.
